AARDA Charitable Donations; Supporting Essential Services in Alberta

Ian

Heart & Stroke Foundation of Alberta


In this picture, Tony Connelly a Director at the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Alberta receives a $1,000 contribution from the Alberta Automotive Recyclers and Dismantlers Association (AARDA). Presenting is Ian Hope, the Association's Executive Director. The funds will go towards CPR training and research and were raised through AARDA's participation in the Car Heaven and GM's Cash for Clunkers end of vehicle life programs.

In this picture, Natasha Broen (in center) is shown with Nick Locke (right) of the Alberta Cancer Foundation as Ian Hope,  Executive Director presents a contribution from AARDA for $1,000.  The funds will be used for cancer research in the Province.

STARS

Shock Trauma Air Rescue Service (STARS) Foundation.

Ian Hope, Executive Director of AARDA, presents a cheque for $2,000 to Jane Styles of the Shock Trauma Air Rescue Service (STARS) Foundation. The cheque is from the Alberta Automotive Recyclers and Dismantlers Association and is part of the funds that were raised through Ford's and General Motors' vehicle end of life programs. Vehicles traded in under these programs in Alberta are sold to association members and part of the price paid for each vehicle comes to AARDA for allocation to eligible charities.

Stars 2 STARS can use these funds to help with projects and priorities such as refurbishing this helicopter recently acquired from the U.S. to make it ready for important life-saving missions in Alberta
